The Nomad Residence, Permit Malta (NRPM) program
The Nomad Residence, Permit Malta (NRPM) program allows individuals to establish residence in Malta temporarily while maintaining the flexibility to travel and work remotely. The program is open to non-EU citizens enabling them to stay in Malta for up to one year, with the possibility of renewing the permit. To qualify for the NRPM, individuals must prove that they have a stable income and can support themselves financially while in Malta. Proof of an existing employment contract or that of running own business from Malta. They must also provide proof of health insurance and pass a background check.
The NRPM allows the permit holder to travel within the Schengen area with a valid permit and no need to apply for a visa.

The Nomad Residence Permit is open to individuals from third countries who would typically (but not necessarily) require a Visa to travel to Malta.
